Haifoss and Granni waterfalls

The magnificent Haifoss waterfall in the foreground is Iceland's third-highest at 122m. It means "high waterfall" and is located in the verdant Þjórsárdalur (Thjorsardalur) valley. A little more difficult to access than those on the south road, it is less well known but one of the most beautiful. The second waterfall in the background is called Granni and comes from the same river, the Fossá.

A waterfall with perfect dimensions

The Skogafoss waterfall is easily accessible on Route 1 in southern Iceland. Falling from a height of 62 m and forming a waterfall 25 m wide, it is one of Iceland's most famous and beautiful waterfalls.

History of water

This waterfall, located in the south of Iceland, is a marvel. Very easy to access, its special feature is that a path runs behind the waterfall, providing a free shower. Taking photos in these conditions is not easy.
One of my favorite shots!

Playing with colors in volcano country

Iceland's volcanic activity is present all over the island. This region is located close to the capital Reykjavik.

Ice lagoon

The Jokulsarlon lagoon and its floating blocks of ice drifting towards the ocean are a wonder to behold. Photo taken around midnight in summer.

Diamonds set in black sand

After leaving the Jokulsarlon lagoon, the ice blocks join the ocean and fragments wash up on this black sand beach like diamonds in a jewel box.

Landmannalaugar and its iridescent colors

Landmannalaugar abounds in breathtaking scenery of volcanoes, mountains, valleys, lakes and rivers. It offers a unique melting pot of colors, from ochre to green, yellow and red.
