Haifoss and Granni waterfalls
The magnificent Haifoss waterfall in the foreground is Iceland's third-highest at 122m. It means "high waterfall" and is located in the verdant Þjórsárdalur (Thjorsardalur) valley. A little more difficult to access than those on the south road, it is less well known but one of the most beautiful. The second waterfall in the background is called Granni and comes from the same river, the Fossá.
